17 July 2020 #BelajarBenar IG Live : “Unlearn The Fight, Unlearning the Impunity” feat Kartika Tahja
Through the #BicaraBenar series, we would #BelajarKemanusiaan through popular culture such as music, book, and other platform as well. In this opportunity, we would be discussing with Kartika Jahja. Through music and lyrical writing, Kartika Jahja was able to invigorate the music lover’s to voice the inequality especially in the sexual violent cases.
Through her song entitled Unlearn The Fight, Kartika Jahja talks about how the youths are sick off order, and the normal condition that could not provide critics and dialogue. The uniformity and perpetual violence that was taught from our early collective consciousness made us to believe that all results is through violence and pain that was inflicted towards other people so that we could be champion.
The “Unlearning” or reflective learning to learn what had occurred to our surrounding aided us to create a non-violent future.

30 July 2020 #BicaraBenar IG Live : “Unlearning Impunity” : The Sustenance that Supported the Survivor’s Lives feat Bakudapan
Through the #BicaraBenar discussion series, we would learn #BelajarHumanity through popular culture such as music, book, and also other sources. This current discussion invites Bakudapan as our guest. Bakudapan is a study group that focuses on food issues. For Bakudapan, food is not only about sustenance and cooking, but also an instrument to discuss about an ever-expanding issue, such as politic, social, gender, economy, philosophy, art, and culture.
Through their work, Bakudapan once discuss about the relation between food and the 65 – 66 crimes against humanity. By conducting interview with the former political 65 prisoner about how they are able to make use about wild flora during their imprisonment, Bakudapan made a performative dinner in an OK.Video (2017) as a wider public retelling method. Other than that, Bakudapan also made a further journal entitled “The Wild One Who Gave Hope” (2020) containing writings that research wild flora from many perspective.

12 August 2020 Asia Youth Dialogue : Youth, Peace, and Security
To coincide with the International Youth Day, 12 August 2020, is the final day of the Humanity Youth Festival after almost 1 month. The closing ceremony entitled “Youth, Peace and Security; Youth Against Impunity in Asia” presented 6 children from 6 countries; Indonesia, Bangladesh, Timor-Leste, Myanmar, Philippines, and Nepal. They will talk about impunity in their respective countries and how their efforts individually and collectively to untie the shackles of impunity that occur in each country.
Not to forget there is also a musical oration that will be performed by the President of AJAR, Patrick Burgess, Cultural Oration from Manik Marganamahendra and Cholil Mahmud.
This event will take place in English, but interpreters will be provided for Indonesian-speaking friends.
